It is part of the Francis Frith Collection. Founded in 1860 the Francis Frith archive is renowned for its fine quality historical photographs of 7,000 town and villages around Britain.
The collection includes Sketches by Boz and The Life of Dickens by F. G. Kitton. The overall condition is fair to good with some dirt and foxing on the page edges.
